2. Purpose of LSIC

• local School Improvement Councils (LS/CJ are required per WV Code 18 -SA-2. These councils exist at each public school in West Virginia.

Membership is comprised of teachers, service personnel, bus drivers, parents, business

and community partners. An election is held annually for membership. The LSIC is

directly involved with the operation of the school, reviews discipline data, and submits

written recommendations to the BOE.

7. Quorum - the minimum number of members of an assembly or society that

must be present at any of its meetings to make the proceedings of that
